On June 1, 2010 the Manic Street Preachers announced on their website that a new album called Postcards From a Young Man would be released on September 20, 2010.

Frontman James Dean Bradfield has previously said that the album would be an unashamedly pop-orientated affair following 2009′s Journal For Plague Lovers.

“We’re going for big radio hits on this one,” he told NME. “It isn’t a follow-up to Journal For Plague Lovers. It’s one last shot at mass communication.”

(It’s Not War) Just The End Of Love is the first single and it has that sound that makes you think that it wouldn’t go amiss on James Dean Bradfield’s solo album The Great Western.

The single will be available to purchase on September 13th, and they are on tour across the UK just after (which I am extremely excited about).

Lissie – Bully

We featured Lissie way back earlier in June when she did an amazing cover of Kid CuDi’s Pursuit of Happiness, this time however we are focusing on her own material.

Bully is Lissie’s first single that will be taken from her debut album, Catching A Tiger, which is already available to buy in the UK, but will be released in the US very shortly.

Lauren Pritchard is a 22-year-old singer/songwriter who was born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee. Pritchard now lives and plies her trade in London which kind of explains the name of her forthcoming album, Wasted in Jackson.

She has a stunningly soulful voice which is used to great effect when twinned with her thought provoking lyrics. When you already possess those two amazing qualities and then proceed to throw Talib Kweli into the mix, you definitely have something special on your hands.

Check out the official remix of her new single Painkillers below. Enjoy.

Last week we posted up a Neon Hitch cover of a Sia & Mike Poser blend, which on the whole seemed to receive positive reviews. Well it seems she has gone into create overdrive, as now we have a Snoop Dogg x Alina Orlova rework of his 2004 hit single Drop It Like It’s Hot.

Similarly to the previous Neon Hitch post, it shouldn’t work, but it definitely does.
