Although this track will have been floating about for a while, I decided to make this record of the week since this band has recently decided that this will be their next single release. “You’ve Got The Love” was originally released by The Source in 1991, nearly two decades later Florence + The Machine are releasing it again under a new guise. Well..when I say releasing it again I actually mean that in two senses. This single was previously released as a B-Side to “Dog Days Are Over” but now it will be distributed as a standalone single, and it is more than worthy of that accolade.
Florence + The Machine have certainly breathed new life into this old classic, Florence Welch’s distinctive voice definitely makes this song her own.
