Bei Maejor has been showing up on my radar quite a lot recently, and that’s a good thing since I’m quite a big fan of his production skills. He only signed to Jive Records in January 2010 but has had a very busy year already, notably remixing B.o.B’s Nothin’ On You and producing the official Andre 3000 remix of Ciara’s single Ride.
However, his latest project may be his greatest work yet.
The über talented producer/singer-songwriter is hoping from behind the mixing desk into the spotlight with the release of his first mixtape uÊop Çpısdn (Upside Down). The mixtape’s first single is Gamez, a hip-hop track which is full of retro 8-bit computer game samples, most notably Pacman & Super Mario Brothers.
On top of that Keri Hilson is enlisted to help sing the chorus. Brilliant.
