Mary J. Blige doing a cover of Stairway To Heaven that features Travis Barker, Randy Jackson, Steve Vai and Orianthi? I really couldn’t resist checking this out from the European release of her new album Stronger With Each Tear.

I can already imagine the Led Zepplin purists shaking their head in disgust at the sheer thought of this track, but in my opinion Mary doesn’t do the original a disservice in the slightest. She maintains her renowned style and even manages to put a little twist on this classic.

I think it’s a brave step by Mary to even attempt this track considering the potential backlash she might receive, but it obviously managed to impress both Jimmy Page and Robert Plant otherwise they wouldn’t have given her license to release it. As you would expect the solos on this track are fucking epic, I definitely recommend you guys listening to this. Enjoy:
