4th of July (Fireworks) is one of my favourite tracks from Kelis’s new album Flesh Tone so i’m pretty glad that someone has decided to make it her second single release.

She dropped by Later With Jools Holland last week to perform a live version, of which you can watch above. My only gripe with the performance is the DJ scratching away incessantly, which I feel detracts from the song – it’s not necessary.
