Last night I had to make a tough decision between going to see one of our favourite UK bands Swiss Lips, or checking out Danny Brown‘s headline show at the Scala. Purely because my friend had made a special effort to get hold of the Danny Brown tickets a few weeks back it was inevitable that I was going to be making my way to Kings Cross to check what he had in store.

Safe to say Danny didn’t disappoint, sending one of the wildest crowds I have ever witnessed for a solo gig into complete rapture. The peak of the evening came when Danny introduced a power substitution in the form of rising hip-hop star Action Bronson who had been inconspicuously lurking side-stage near Fool’s Gold head-honch A-Trak. He delivered a storming performance of “Strictly 4 My Jeeps” which is taken from his oh-so rent release “Saaab Stories“.
